Our cards are OUT!!!

FINALLY!!! I know I know, it's about time............ and I have my sweaty toes crossed that they will get there before Christmas! I really do think they will, and here is the reason why:

Due to my voicing my concerns about our late coming cards, I had asked mum to rearrange her entire day and work schedule to meet my needs. I had a special request for her.

You all remember I live in Vancouver BC, not Vancouver WA right??

I told mum couple days ago that I really thought it would be a good idea to take all my cards and stuff down to the States to mail them. I wanted to make sure my cards get to their recipients before Christmas you know?

So my very well behaved mum took home two days worth of work assignments and she worked and worked and worked on them until 3:30 am this morning.

Then I told mum that since I hadn't gone to my rehab center for over 10 days (since the snow) that we should really let me go and have a SPAW session. Now now now, I was being very considerate because I knew the rehab center was only about 10 minutes from one of the border crossings. So I thought we could get two things done in one trip, understood?

Again, my very well trained mum took my suggestion and booked me an 8:00 am appointment. She woke up at 6 this morning (yup, 2.5 hrs of sleep), got my things (breakfast, towels, rain coat, water) ready and we left the house at around 6:45 and headed 60 kms east of Vancouver to go to my rehab center.

Yup, a girl needs her SPAW sessions!!

After my SPAW treatment, mum gave me my breakfast, I ate a little teeny bit (mum: more like HALF) of mum's McGriddle sandwich, and we headed towards the border.

We came here:

Mum did a lot of paper work on the international cards. Now that I think back, mum should really thank me for this idea, otherwise, she would have had to fill papers for the US one too on top of the international orders if she had sent them from Canada.

*** We did send out Canadian cards out on Monday!! So my country mates might get them sooner since 3 (not including me) out of 7 are in BC LOL!!

Anyway, after all our cards were sent, mum let me out of the car for a little breather. I, of course, had to let everybody know that Miss Sunshade was at the United States Post Office. So I left my mark - VERY important!!

We headed back over the border as soon as I finished leaving my scent. Mum said she still had work to do, so we had to go home.......

SunshadeMOBILE had to wait in line......

***************************************************

I was a little upset that I didn't get to stay in the US a little longer, but when I got home and saw all the new cards I got, I was more than just a little happy!!!

But before I show you all my cards, I have to say that I was extremely happy
Tin Tin kept his promise. These were Tin Tin's words to me earlier, and I quote:

"Now as promised, my card is wending its way to you complete with bacon dribbled sealant.

Chow for now,

Tin Tin xo"

So when I got Tin Tin's card today, I had to check it out for myself.

yes, YES!! That was definitely sealed with bacon dribbled sealant!!!

These are all the cards I got today!!

They are from Fufu, Kingsley, Joey & Tanner, my man Mackie, Tin Tin, Toby, Joey & Jack, Holly, Herbie, Freda, Marvin, Chelsea, MJ, and Aramis & Carbi!!

THANK YOU ALL!!

This is what my mantel looks like now, and there is still more than half that have yet to arrive!!

These are my Airedale cards!

and THIS, is what my living room looks like now!!

YEEEES.......

*CHRISTMAS IS GOING TO THE DAWGS !!!*

Hey Sunshadey-lady,

Wow, you got sooooooo many cards! You are so popular! Where is your mum going to put her cards?

What a well travelled lady you are too, hopping off to the US for the day. If I get a pet passport I could go to Europe apparently, but looking on the map there's a lot of water to get across, so I'm not too keen. I'm not a good swimmer like you.

Hey Sunshade,

I'm glad you checked for that bacon dribbled sealant.

Little-known and abhorrent fact: customs AND post office workers the world over are notorious for licking the yummies off envelopes.

Chow for now,

MISS BOO-TIFUL SUNSHADE!

I got your card this morning!! I could not stop wagging my rump.. I was sh-sh-shakin' my moneymakah.. I was so excited! I sniffed it all over and I held it in my mouth and INHAAAAALED deeply to get the full scent of your beautiful Airedale-ness. I was in euphoria! You smell so lovely.. what is a boo-dog to do?
Thank you so much for the BULLDOG PAWTECTION sign. I made Mum hang it up right away.. all our windows downstairs are made of tinted, foggy glass so she nailed it up by our door-bell instead so EVERYone can see that I'm on duty :)
The card is beautiful! Was it made from your hair?? Ohh I don't want to spoil it for everyone else who hasn't gotten Sunshade cards yet.. so I wont' say much more, but THANK YOU THANK YOU and I'll be sure to make a whole post just about my gorgeous grrlfriend's xmas card :)

LOVELOVELOVELICKS,
Your STUDLY Dudley!

Oh, Sunshade! I got your wonderful card today! It cheered me up after a so-so day at work. You and your (not) evil mum are soooo talented. Not to give away the surprise, but my kitties are going to be keeping a wary eye on that card. I will put it in a safe place when I am not here to look at it.
I'm so glad we've become friends and I look forward to seeing everything Santa Paws brings you.
oxoxox,
Ellen

P.S. I might take it over to show Zoe and Will-yum but they might not understand. Have to think about that one.

ohh... sunshade, I can't wait to sniff your card!

And erm, don't worry about someone trying to steal the card I sent you. I was too lazy, I mean, urm... my M, ya, SHE was too lazy to seal the envelops. She just tucked the flap in and claims that it helps to make the custom's job easier, make sure that I don't smuggle any contraband like biscuits, rawhide, bones ot what not thru the post.

your mom is DA woman! she should go into the MOM Hall of Fame for all that she sacrifices to make her dogter happy!! :) hehe... my HM needs to buck up a little, no, a lot.

i hope i get your card soon!!! :)

Hey Miss Sunshade,

Lookin' foward to sniffin' your card. Your place looks reeeeallys cooools with all the cards hangin' around.
Glad you got mine.

I want to thank you and your mom for all the hard works you two did in compilin' the Christmas Card Exchange List. Dog! Little sleeps, workin' extra hard, travelin' to a foreign country, bringin' work home. (Dad says that's not good, bringin' works home. He use to do that and work extras at work too. Then he said NO! No body knew the difference if he worked extra or not. It did make him feel goods though...For a while. Now he doesn't work. Hmmm...)

Again, thanks for all the hard work to make this happen. It is fun gettin' all those cards from all overs the place.

Oh! And a very belated Birthdays to you. Looks like you had lots of funs.

Wuufs!
