My Day

I haven't gone to my rehab center in 20 days all because of STINKY. Finally, mum came to her senses and decided to take me for my rehab swim. I thought GREAT!

But then, I saw her putting STINKY into MY SunshadeMOBILE. WHAT!!!

Dear Zach:

You know you are my good friend so I won't hold any grudges against you. However, I do have to let you know that one of the comments you made regarding taking STINKY to MY rehab center and to go see Mr. Goatee gave mum the smart idea of letting STINKY tag along...

Don't worry, I still love you as a friend, but please, be careful of what you write next time.

Your friend,
Miss Sunshade

So yes, the STINK bomb came along.

We got there a bit early because mum was trying to avoid rush hour traffic. Since we were early, mum took us to the park next to where Mr. Goatee lives. She wanted to show STINKY all the animals. Unfortunately, because it was raining, the goosies/duckies/horsies/goaties were all hiding in their shed. I was very disappointed that I didn't get to run along the fence, arguing with the mini horsie.

It was also very unfortunate because we got stuck with the camera. Mum tricked us over to the playground, made us go "up" so we couldn't get away, and started snapping away.

On the count of 3,

1.....

2.....

3.....

TURN!

But stupid STINKY, he caved and looked into the camera....

Then the EVIL mum cheated, she asked me "Do you want a PINE CONE??" ..... that was not fair!

ENOUGH OF THIS!!

We went for a walk around the park, and believe me, it was a disaster. At least for me it was, and mum too I think towards the end. STINKY just wouldn't walk straight or leave me alone!!!

Can you tell I was afraid of his stinky breath??

The only good thing that came out of this walk was - I saw a.....

After what it seemed like the looooooooongest walk of my life, it was swim time.

I did my usual stuff you know:

I retrieved

(notice that's the new toy from my KONG box?? Too bad it had a hole and water started getting in....)

I swam against the jets

I did dolphinic flips to catch my ring and stick

I was being a good girl while STINKY was being annoying,

Not only was he annoying, he was being bad.

He found this treat canister and was trying to help himself. It wouldn't have been so bad if he had shared, but HE DIDN'T!!!

Then mum had a smart idea, during my break, she decided to stink up the pool......

Thank doG only half of him went in or else the whole pool would have stunk up for sure. You won't believe this, but STINKY almost fell asleep in the warm water. Look at how happy I was to see STINKY out of MY pool!!!

After my swim, the inevitable came..... the STINK bomb was part of the package too. Since I get itchy if I don't get the salt water rinsed off afterwards, mum thought she might as well rinse STINKY too.

While I was busy drying myself,

STINKY was dancing all around me. (mum: he was trying to get Sunshade to play)

He obviously didn't understand how important this drying part was. He was wet too.

Mum had to dry him with a towel, then he started to shiver in the car.

I'm actually very thankful he shivered, because, mum decided to take us to Petsmart and put STINKY through all the indignity that I've had to put up with.

Remember me?

Now STINKY!

I was so happy because I got a free trip to Petsmart. I love to watch little critters from outside the windows.

I saw a couple of blond Fufu's, I bet they are not as smart as Fufu.

What I found to be extremely fascinating were these,

Guinea piggies... They were on my X-mas Wish List, but I never got one.... HMMMPH!

I watched intently,

Then I got a little distracted by a couple of handsome...... err, I meant nice fellows. No, SERIOUSLY, I wasn't flirting with a 4 months old pitbull pup, nor was I flirting with an 8 year old Chihuahua.... You have to believe me.

(I think it is worth mentioning, mum had a sleeping STINKY in one arm, my leash in the second arm, and the camera in the third arm. Told ya that woman has more than 2 arms sometimes!)

Mum bought ME a couple of small size tennis balls. I guess she thought a good girl like me deserved to have tennis balls of all shapes and sizes. (mum: they were bought for..um............)

But that STINKY, he just HAD to take one of my new ball balls....

Not only did STINKY take one of my small ball balls, he also took my BIG ball ball!! LOOK, I have proof,

I couldn't stand the thought of him stinking up my BIG ball ball, so I went over to try and reclaim my ball ball. Now just look at him! How disrespectful!

Not only did he stick out his tongue, he also showed me his wee wee. Geez.... kids today....

None the less, I got my BIG ball-ball back,

AND my small ball ball,

All is gooooood for now......

I'm not rabid

I have just realized I live in a place full of EVIL beings:

Here is another one to add on to the list: EVIL glove

Please my friends, DON'T check out STINKY, he tried to copy me,

My favouritest game in the whole wide world

Rules are simple:

  • You MUST have to have something in our mouth, preferable something that everyone wants. In this case, my chewie (mum: you mean Jaffa's chewie)
  • The tunnel MUST be utilized
  • Turning around in tunnel IS allowed only if you are cornered
  • Hiding in tunnel IS allowed
Demonstration of HOW the game should be played. Please ignore STINKY, he obviously doesn't get the game.

Sunday - Faye came for grooming (1.21.07)

My friend Faye came over this morning for grooming. We don't live very close to each other so we only see each other on special occasions such as this. Both STINKY and I were in the garage at first while Faye was being groomed, but apparently we were being too distractive and mum made Faye's ear bleed........ (right... blame it on us) The good thing is Faye didn't even notice her ear was cut, mum only found out when she saw blood. Did I tell you mum did the same thing to my one ear when I was 3 months old? She was trying to cut my glued ears lose, and she cut my ear instead. I didn't cry or even flinch and again, mum only found out after she saw her hand was covered in blood. (shhhh.... don't tell her I told you guys this, or I'll be in deep trouble..)

While Faye was on the grooming table, STINKY was trying to play with Georgie from outside the cage. He was the distractive one. Then STINKY got accidentally stepped on by Faye's dad, and he cried (of course, he's a boy). STINKY was limping and not wanting to put his foot down (of course, he's a boy), so mum got a little worried and put him in the crate, and shot me upstairs.

I didn't want to be inside and asked to be let out to the yard, even tho it was raining. I really love my yard you know? Anyway, I thought about my New Years Resolution and how I hadn't really been able to do # 5 due to the weather,

(this is just to refresh your memory)

So I thought I would make mum proud by doing what I resolved to do - some landscaping. I walked around the yard, checking the Feng Shui (sp??), and decided it made more sense for me to make # 11. # 10 can come later (mum: NOT!).

I took a rest in # 11. Landscaping is hard work!!

I was expecting lots of praises from mum you know? I mean, shouldn't she be proud of her hard working dogter who works RAIN or shine?? Plus, she should appreciate the fact that she'd have that much less grass to mow in the summer.

But NOOOOOOO........ she made me wash my feet, and even my NOSE! What an ungrateful mum she is!! Anyway, I waited inside while mum finished up Faye. I was expecting to wait for a few hours you know, since it takes mum at least 4 hours to groom me. Much to my surprise, Faye was done in less than 2 hours all together. Mums says Faye doesn't have half as much coat as I do.

I grew this much coat in 10 weeks time.

Faye grew this much coat in 4 months.

This is Faye after grooming,

Mum barely had to trim her face around the muzzle, and only had to take very little off her legs.

Gee... I wish I had Faye's coat, 2 hours every four months sounds way better than 4 hours every 6-8 weeks!!

Faye and I went for a walk together after she got groomed. We wanted to go for a looong walk, so we PULLED!! However, those hoomans didn't seem to like the rain too much and we only got a mini 20 min walk...

Before going on the walk, I let Faye choose a few things from my KONG box, and she took these:

(HMMMMPH! I want those too....... stupid wheat allergy)

Like me, Faye loves the Air Dog squeaky ball, she couldn't wait to start playing with it.

Marvin's Poems about ME!!!! ......and STINKY..

Poems by Marvin - The One and Only Scotsman Poet!

This was from the "Walk with Faye" post:

"Jaffa is a stinky wee boy,

Faye is a pretty girl who brings joy

But Sunshade has what they all lack,

For She is always Leader of the Pack!

A wee Poem for my Canadian Sweetheart."

love and sad licks Marv xxxxxx

This was from "I ate STINKY's chicken neck" post:

Title: Sunshade and Jaffa Stinky

"Sunshade has a Stinky pal but he is so young and geeky......

I think Sunshade really likes him but his puppy smell makes her weepy!

Stinky gets up Miss Sunshade's nose and really makes her mad,

But reading tales of poor Stinky makes old Marvin sad.

He looks such a lovely furry fun kind of pup -

If I had him for a brother it would really cheer me up!

I think Sunshade likes him - if the truth be known

Stinky also known as Jaffa has perhaps found his forever home!

A poem for my sweetheart so far across the seas,

My heart will always be with Sunshade until eternity!"

Love and tired licks from poemed out Marvin to Miss Sunshade (oh and a wee kiss for the boy Jaffa!)

THANK YOU Marvin, you are so talented. I would like to show my appreciation by sending you an 11 lb package. Please remember to check for delivery person. You might have to plug your nose when you open the package, ok??

ps. Mum made me put a link to STINKY's blog on my side bar........... so please, don't go visit him unless it's absolutely necessary ok?

Got groomed & a package came

On Wednesday, mum decided it was time for my grooming. My last grooming session was on November, 3rd. I did my math, it's been 10.8 weeks , so I guess I couldn't really complain. (mum promised not to groom me for at least 8-12 weeks in the winter. She broke her promise last time, but I think it had something to do with the X-mas cards??)

That doesn't mean I was happy tho... can you see the sorrow in my eyes?

I hate grooming, and mum wouldn't stop taking picture, especially I was only half way done. I didn't want to look into the camera!

See all these hair? That's only half way through, mum just clipped the parts off so she could bath me.

And she wouldn't stop with the camera of course.

So on Thursday, I got my bath while STINKY watches.....

Little did he know....

And today, mum finished the scissor work. I grew sooooo much hair, and mum said it was hard to shape my legs. Geez... I could careless, I just hate grooming!

Anway, this is BEFORE

This is AFTER

Here, want a better view?

I was in a bad mood after my grooming session, I can't stress to you enough how much I dislike grooming. I'd rather look like a mop then being groomed! But mum said I gotta look good for my MEN..... While I was being pouty, a package came!

Is it for me??

Yup it is!!

Opening...

Hmmmmm..... something smells YUM-MMMY!

Let me see what's inside.

HOLY MOELY!!!

Look at all the stuff!

At first, I thought it must be because the KONG Company heard that STINKY took over my KONG,

so they sent me a bunch of replacements, all made by the KONG Company. LOOK! It's got my favourite Air Dog Tennis toys!!!!!!!

But mum told me the box was for finishing top five at the Wikifido Holiday Photo Contest. There were so many great photos entered, so I feel very honoured to be voted top five. This was the photo entered:

I can't believe Wikifido is so generous to send such a big box of stuff, I didn't even win! But THANK YOU anyway! I really don't play with Kongs that much at all, so mum might give a few things to other doggies, which is okay I guess as long as it's not STINKY. Anything she gives STINKY, I want I want! (mum: just for the sake of wanting..).

Trying to figure out which to play first, er.. I mean eat..

Mum looked at the ingredients, and bummer.... it's got wheat in it, and I'm allergic to wheat.. so she put it away. HMMMMPH!

NEXT....

YIPPEE! Tug tug!!

After I got bored of tug, I saw something...... the THING.... how I've missed it! (mum: it finally ran out of battery and stopped meowing. I didn't have a small screw driver to take the battery out, and it was meowing by itself at night)

I wanted it to come down

Was trying to get mum to help, but she just kept on going with her camera...

She, of course, had to take pictures from every angle before helping me out,

Oh my THING my THING...

I've missed you!!!
